Booking taxis for private journeys for staff is not permitted unless this is approved by exception.
A staff shuttle bus service operates in hours between Aintree, Broadgreen and Royal. Details of bus schedules are available here.
Exceptional circumstances
In the event of short notice or on the day requests to provide cover at alternative sites, the use of taxis will only be permitted to take colleagues to and from their original place of work if they have already started their shift at their original place of work.
However in-hours wherever possible, colleagues should use the staff shuttle bus service or their own transport. If a taxi is required, sharing should be considered if multiple staff require them.
Staff should not book taxis to transport them between sites for business meetings.
Taxis will also continue to be permitted for staff who are on call and are required to report to work whilst during the period of their on call.
