Thank you for volunteering to be a part of the Employee and Team of the Month Virtual Judging Panel.
What is the Employee and Team of the Month (EOM/TOM) Award?
The Employee and Team of the Month is awarded on a monthly basis and recognises the contributions of our wonderful colleagues and teams. Here at LUHFT, we live our values of Caring, Fair and Innovative, and want to recognise colleagues and teams who demonstrate the values consistently, often going above and beyond to improve outcomes for patients.
Who can be nominated?
Anyone working on behalf of LUHFT is eligible to receive an EOM or TOM award. Every colleague has an important role to play in providing our patients with the best possible experience. Nominations can be submitted by colleagues and members of the public. You can nominate here - Employee and Team nominations :: NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group
What happens during the virtual judging process?
Each month, the OD Team will send to you the virtual judging link. You will be required to submit your scores within the allotted time (approximately 5 days). The OD Team will then collate the scores and announce the winner.
We have created some tips and guidance to support you when scoring each nomination, to enable the process to be fair, inclusive and consistent across our panel of judges:
- Remember to score each nomination. Each month you will be asked to score both Employee and Team of the Month nominations.
- Read each nomination before before noting your score. Each nomination is summarised, providing information on which value/s the example demonstrates, what the person/team did, and the impact that the example had. If it feels like you can’t distinguish between each example, undertake an initial sift and then revisit those you have scored highest. A second review of the nominations may help you to notice subtle differences which may influence your final scores, making the shortlisting process easier.
- Consider the Trust Values of Caring, Fair and Innovative. A score of 0-5 is required for each nomination, with 0 being ‘no evidence demonstrated’ and 5 being ‘significant evidence demonstrated’.
- Look for words used to describe the values and behaviours of the individual/team. Examples such as treating others with dignity, respect, going the extra mile and outstanding commitment to delivering the best experience possible for the patient, customer or colleague, commitment and dedication to their role, nothing is ever too much trouble...
- Remain impartial and without bias. To achieve this, avoid the temptation of trying to think who the nomination relates to
- Please also feel free to share any comments regarding the nomination as these can be shared with the winner.
- If a you are nominated please inform the OD team on staffengagement@liverpoolft.nhs and do not score any nominations.
