Our expert researchers bring cutting-edge therapies from the lab to the bedside. The Royal Liverpool University Hospital hosts the NIHR Liverpool Clinical Research Facility—an MHRA-accredited Phase 1 unit for early-stage clinical trials.
The Research and Innovation team manages the Trust’s research portfolio, providing support and ensuring the highest standards of ethics and governance. All studies undergo rigorous ethical and development review to protect participants and uphold research quality.
As part of the NHS, we follow national standards to protect patient privacy and ensure research use of data is ethical, legal, and in the public interest.
