Liverpool Women's University Hospital has a protected meal time policy, therefore, you will not be allowed access from 8am-8.30am, 11.45am-1pm and 4.30pm-5.30pm.

Visiting times are set to ensure that routine ward activities are run efficiently. They also give patients privacy as well ensuring they get sufficient time for rest and recuperation after surgery.

Visiting times vary from ward to ward across the hospital so it worth checking the visiting times that apply to the ward you are visiting.

Maternity ward visiting times

Partners and support people can visit maternity patients,11am-8pm. Visiting times for all other visitors, including only parents own children is 3pm-8pm.

Gynaecology ward visiting times

Visitors can visit patients on the gynaecology ward, 2pm-7pm, and are allowed two visitors per bedside.

We understand that some people, due to personal circumstances, may want to visit outside of the normal visiting hours. Although we do not encourage this, we ask if arrangements need to be arranged that you please contact the ward to get permission prior to your visit.
