Liverpool Clinical Laboratories (LCL) is the largest pathology service provider in Cheshire and Merseyside. LCL formed in 2013 from the amalgamation of the pathology clinical services and laboratories of the Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
LCL primarily work on the diagnosis of disease and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments and undertake research into the causes and cures of disease, processing over 5 million sample tests each year.

LCL work closely with staff, partners and suppliers and strives to be a centre for excellence in clinical diagnostic and investigations services.
Our sites
We have laboratories on four hospital sites; Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool Women's Hospital and Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
Our main hub is located at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital in the Clinical Support Services Building.
