We believe that prevention is better than cure and we want to support you in looking after your back to reduce your pain and better manage any long term conditions you may have.
We run regular Back on Track classes and these are supported by the Trust to allow attendance.

Purpose:
To reduce long-term back pain and prevent recurrent work absences by combining targeted physical exercises with practical education on spine anatomy, pain, lifestyle, and self-management strategies.
Structure:

Duration: Typically 4 weekly sessions, 90 minutes each

Format: Group-based (up to 10 participants), led by a physiotherapist.

Target Audience: Individuals with chronic or recurrent non-specific low back pain, particularly those with a history of work-related absences
Education Module:

Understanding causes and contributors to back pain (biopsychosocial approach)

Debunking myths (e.g., pain equals damage)

Promoting activity and movement over rest

Instruction on posture, ergonomics, and lifting techniques

Coping strategies for flare-ups and stress-related pain

Encouraging self-management, consistency, and long-term adherence
