
Emma Daley, Group Chief Nursing Information Officer, and Sarah Thompson, Group Chief Clinical Information Officer (Pharmacy and Medicines), received the award for their work with the National Skills Development Network. Through this, they volunteer their time to help design and deliver digital learning programmes, which contributes towards empowering the wider NHS staff to build the skills they need in an increasingly digital healthcare environment.
The HSJ Digital Awards celebrate organisations and individuals using technology to improve patient care, support staff and transform services. This year’s awards saw hundreds of entries from across the NHS.
Emma and Sarah’s work contributes to the delivery of a number of induction modules ensures that clinicians working in informatics / digital roles are empowered as leaders within the digital healthcare landscape. By strengthening digital knowledge and capability, this work plays a vital role in improving efficiency, supporting safer care and enhancing the experience of patients.
